Aromatherapy Enhances Relaxation

 

I’ve said it before, I believe nature has a cure for everything. Just listening to the news everyday and being aware of what is going on around us, is enough to make anyone ill. I seriously believe that the body’s ability to protect itself from illness can be enhanced by a number of factors actually – the way you think, the way you deal with stress and the nutrition you receive. I’m game for trying natural therapies that really work like yoga as I’ve previously mentioned, but aromatherapy is also gaining my interest. I suppose as a nature lover, its because aromatherapy is where pure essential oils are extracted from plants for fantastic therapeutic purposes.

The oils all have their own aromas and healing properties. I’m thinking of rose, geranium, camomile, eucalyptus, lavender, jasmine and rosemary among others. The oils are absorbed into the skin to treat things like anxiety – something I’m sure we’re all suffering with. What I love is that you can use them in your bath, in inhalers and in massage and they’re pretty safe as I’ve since discovered that they are beneficial for people of all ages. I’llĀ  share more about them in the future, but just do research in the meantime before using them.
